Studio
Getting started with Studio
Mudbase Studio turns a plain-language description of your app into a live, deployable web app - auth, database, and realtime included. This page walks through the first steps from account creation to a working preview.
1. Create an account and verify your email
Sign up at studio.mudbase.dev/register. After you submit, a verification link is sent to your email address. Click it to confirm your account. Your one-time signup credit grant (1,000 credits) is applied automatically once your email is verified.
2. Describe your app
After signing in, you land on the new project page. Type a description of what your app does and who uses it. Specific descriptions produce better results than vague ones: instead of "a todo app", write "a task tracker for small teams where each task has an owner, a due date, and a status that moves from open to in review to done."
Studio uses your description to plan the data model, screens, and wiring before generating any code. You can guide the plan with follow-up chat messages before confirming the build.
3. Watch the build
Once you confirm, the build starts. The terminal panel on the right shows progress in real time. A typical first build takes a few minutes. The data model is built first, then the screens, then auth and storage are wired together. All generated files are visible in the workspace - open any of them to read exactly what changed.
New projects use TanStack Start as the underlying framework. The generated code is real TypeScript source with no proprietary runtime.
4. Preview and iterate
Every project gets a live preview URL and a free *.mudbase.app subdomain as soon as the first build finishes. Open the preview to see your app running. Use the chat panel to describe changes and trigger follow-up builds. Each iteration is a new version you can browse in the version history.
