Limits and fair use

Studio enforces a set of caps to keep the platform healthy for everyone. This page lists the hard limits that apply to all accounts and notes which are configurable per plan.

Credits

  • Signup bonus: 1,000 credits, granted once at email verification.
  • Monthly free credits: 500 credits on the first day of each UTC calendar month on the free plan.
  • Daily activity bonus: Up to 50 credits per UTC day, up to 500 credits per UTC calendar month. Requires recent activity (a build in the last 24 hours or a project created in the last 7 days). Unspent daily-bonus credits expire at the end of each UTC calendar month.

Free Chat and Plan turns

  • A daily Chat and Plan turn limit, shared across both modes. Resets at midnight UTC. After reaching the limit, free turns resume the next day. Build turns are unaffected. The current limit is displayed in the Usage panel.

Projects

  • Free plan: Unlimited projects. Dormant projects (no sandbox activity) persist in your account indefinitely.
  • Published sites: Free plan 3, Pro plan 25, Team plan 100. Republishing an existing live project does not consume an additional slot.

Concurrent builds

Studio limits the number of build turns that can run simultaneously across all users, and applies a per-user sub-limit within that global cap. These values are managed at the platform level and may be adjusted during periods of high demand. If you hit the limit, Studio queues your build and shows an estimated wait time.

Versions

  • 10 versions per project. Both build snapshots and pre-operation checkpoints count toward this limit. The oldest version is removed when a new one is saved and the project already has 10.

Secrets

  • 50 secrets per project. Key names must match ^[A-Z][A-Z0-9_]*$ (all uppercase, starting with a letter). Maximum key name length: 100 characters. Maximum secret value length: 8,000 characters.

Custom domains

  • Custom domains require the Pro or Team plan. Free accounts are not eligible.

GitHub push

  • Pushing to GitHub requires a paid plan. Free accounts can download code as a zip instead.

SEO and security scans

  • 10 scans per project per 15 minutes for each scan type. No credit cost.
Note
Limits marked as "platform-level" above (concurrent builds) are adjusted dynamically by the platform without a code change. The values shown for the per-account limits (credits, secrets, versions) are the current defaults and are reflected in the code.
