Studio
Publish and custom domains
Publishing makes your Studio project live on a public URL. Every project gets a free*.mudbase.app subdomain as soon as it is first published. Custom domains are available on paid plans.
How to publish
Click Publish in the top-right of the workspace. Studio runs a production build and, once it succeeds, your site is live at yourslug.mudbase.app. The first publish picks a subdomain automatically; you can customize the slug in the publish dialog before confirming.
Publishing does not cost credits. After each iteration that changes your app, click Publish again to push the update to your live URL. The URL does not change between re-publishes, and republishing an already-live project does not count against your published-site limit.
Subdomain rules
- Subdomains are lowercase, alphanumeric, with hyphens allowed.
- Reserved or brand names are rejected with the message: "That subdomain is reserved or invalid." Choose a different slug if you see this.
- If your chosen slug is already taken by another project, you will see a conflict message and can edit the slug before retrying.
Published site limits
The number of simultaneously live published projects depends on your plan:
- Free plan: up to 3 live published projects
- Pro plan: up to 25 live published projects
- Team plan: up to 100 live published projects
To publish a new project when you are at your limit, unpublish an existing one first.
Free plan badge
All published sites on the free plan display a small "Built with Mudbase Studio" badge. Upgrading to a paid plan removes it automatically.
Custom domains
Custom domains are available on paid plans. See Connect a custom domain for the full setup guide.
