Troubleshooting a blank preview
A blank preview panel is one of the most common things users see, and it almost always has a simple fix. Work through the steps below in order.
Step 1: Wait if the build just finished
On the first load after a build, the sandbox needs 2 to 3 minutes to start up. If the build finished less than 3 minutes ago, wait a bit longer before taking action.
Step 2: Refresh the preview panel
Click the refresh icon inside the preview panel (the circular arrow icon, not your browser's refresh button). This restarts the preview without affecting your project.
Step 3: Re-open the project tab
Close the Studio tab, then re-open your project from the dashboard. Give the preview 2 minutes after re-opening.
Step 4: Check the build log for errors
Click the Logs tab in the bottom panel. If you see red lines or errors, copy the error text. You can paste it into the chat panel and ask Studio to fix it, or include it when contacting support.
Step 5: Check for a recent package or dependency change
If the blank preview started after you added a new package or made a significant change, try reverting it. Send this prompt: “Undo the last change and restore the previous working state.” Then check whether the preview loads.
Step 6: Contact support
If none of the steps above work, contact us at support@mudbase.dev. Include:
- Your project name.
- A description of what you see (for example, white screen, infinite spinner, error message).
- The text of any error you see in the Logs panel.
Your project is safe
A blank preview does not mean your project is lost. All project files are saved independently of the sandbox. Nothing is deleted.
