Studio Help

Your first build in 5 steps

Your first app is usually ready within a few minutes. Here is how to get there.

Before you start

You will need a Mudbase Studio account. Go to studio.mudbase.dev/register and sign up. No credit card is required. Your account receives 1,000 credits when your email address is verified.

Step 1: Create a new project

Click New project from your dashboard. You will see two options: start from a template or start with a prompt. Both work well. If you are not sure what to build, pick a template that is close to your idea and adjust it.

Step 2: Describe what you want

Type a short description of your app. Be specific about the main thing it should do. For example: "A simple to-do list where users can sign in, create tasks, and mark them done." You do not need technical language. Studio reads plain descriptions.

Step 3: Wait for the build

Studio generates your app code and sets up a backend. The first build typically finishes in about 2 to 3 minutes. A progress indicator shows you where things are. Do not close the tab while it runs.

Step 4: Try the preview

When the build finishes, a live preview opens in the right panel. Click around and test the flows. If something is not right, type a follow-up in the chat panel and Studio will update the app.

Step 5: Publish

When you are happy with the result, click Publish. Your app gets a permanent URL you can share right away. Publishing takes about 2 minutes.

What happens to your credits?

The first build costs about 300 to 600 credits on average, depending on the size of your app. Each follow-up edit costs about 120 to 140 credits. Your 1,000 signup credits are enough for several rounds of building and editing.
